It is a highly regrettable fact that for a population of more than 20 million there are only five seats for PhD (law) at the University of Karachi. We are living in a modern and challenging world where education and technology are considered supremely crucial, but we are lagging in these fields.
With higher education and research, our nation can take the path towards prosperity. The students of Pakistan are hardworking and dedicated, but managerial deficiencies have prevented the country to reach its true potential.
It is my humble request to the prime minister, governor, and chief minister to increase the PhD (law) seats to at least 40, in the interest of justice. Such opportunities will definitely assist in improving the state of our nation.
RAZI ALAM,
