'Ministry organises tournaments at all levels'

ISLAMABAD Federal Sports Secretary Anisul Hasnain Musavi has said that the Ministry of Sports is carrying out the Prime Ministers vision From battle-field to sports-field by organising tournaments at all levels. He was speaking at the occasion of prize-distribution ceremony of Inter-varsity Table Tennis tournament that concluded in Multan. He appreciated the efforts of Higher Education Commission (HEC) in organising inter-varsity Table Tennis tournament successfully. He said that the Ministry was chalking out the schedule of table tennis, badminton and football tournaments to be held next month at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, and other major cities of the provinces. The tournament was organised by Higher Education Commission in the name of From battle-field to sports-field under the directives of Prime Ministers Task Force on Sports. Karachi University marked victory by defeating Superior University Lahore. Agriculture University Faisalabad and LUMS, Lahore, got third and fourth places respectively.
