Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain reworded his plea, calling for the establishment to take off its ‘spectacles of prejudice’ against the party.

In a statement issued from the party’s London secretariat, he said the mega polis Karachi has been left at the mercy and discretion of terrorists hailing from the banned-outfits. MQM has been stymied to the wall with its hands tied in the name of Karachi operation.

Muttahida chief asserted that earlier a social worker—Sabeen Mahmud—was slain and lately a university academic Dr Waheed-ur-Rehman has been murdered, in a targeted-killing in the metropolis.

Urging on the establishment to change its mindset, as an anti-MQM bias is not a becoming approach, Altaf Hussain remarked, “It is high time for the establishment to brainstorm the question, as to who is slaying the innocent citizens in Karachi.”
