Five die in road accidents

Five people were killed in separate road accidents took place here on Wednesday.
Two engineers and a driver died as their car collided with a stationary truck.
Mubashir Sagheer, a resident of Chakwal, and Tanveer Hussain of Gujranwala were travelling to Atowal to fix a technical problem in a cell company’s tower. They were being driven in the car (LE-1496) by their company driver Tahir Iqbal Qureshi of Rafiqabad. Near PSO Depot Chakpirana, the driver unfortunately lost the control of the car and smashed into the truck (LES-3211) with an explosion killing all the three riders.
After the hit, the car got stuck underneath the truck. Rescuers reached the place of incident and helped recover the bodies out of the burnt car and later sent the bodies to the respective families.
Likewise, one Kaneez Bibi (55) and her son Ghazanfar were killed in a fatal road accident near village Gunnah Kalan on main Sialkot-Pasrur Road. They were coming towards Sialkot from Chawinda-Pasrur, when an over loaded dumper vehicle badly hit their motorcycle, killing them on the spot.
Police handed over the dead bodies to grieved family for burial after autopsy. They were laid to rest in their native graveyard in Chawinda, Pasrur tehsil. A large number of people attended their funerals.
Meanwhile, a married woman namely Riffat Bibi (36) committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills over a domestic dispute in village Chaprar-Sialkot here.
