Kuala Lumpur: Pakistani cueist Hamza Akbar today defeated Indian opponent Pankaj Advani to claim the Asian Snooker Championship in Kuala Lumpur.


Hamza, playing in his first international event, became the second Pakistani to win the title after Muhammad Yousuf won it in 1998.

Earlier, Hamza defeated Malaysian opponent Mohammed Reza and became the third Pakistani to make it to the Asian event final.
