LAHORE: Dr Amjad Hussain, Assistant Professor of Punjab University College of Pharmacy, has earned his PhD from De Montfort University, United Kingdom under a joint venture.
The topic of his research was “A study of the mechanisms of milling induced enhancement of solubility and dissolution rate of poorly soluble drugs”. He is the first faculty member who has done his PhD under this program and completed in lesser than the stipulated time under the supervision of Dr Nadeem Irfan Bukhari, Geoff Smith and Irina Ermolina.
Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Dr Mobashar Ahmed Butt has said that Mr Hussain’s PhD from De Montfort University proved that the facilities in Punjab University College of Pharmacy are as good as the facilities being provided in De Montfort University UK.
