Concordia conducts high achievers ceremony

LAHORE (PR): In order to highlight the achievements of Intermediate students in academics, sports and extracurricular activities, Concordia Colleges arranged a function here at a local club on 26th& 27thApril, 2016. Students from all Concordia campuses participated in the event. The high achievers were acknowledged through shields and certificates.

Deans of the college Dr Qalb e Abid and Dr Tahir Abbas addressed the students. Bachelors programme was launched at the event where Concordia Colleges introduced B.A, B.Sc, BBA (Hons.) BS (Hon) Computer sciences for year 2016.

Dawood receives ‘lifetime achievement award’

KARACHI (PR): Marketing Association of Pakistan has conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 to industrialist and ardent philanthropist, Hussain Dawood for his remarkable contributions in a broad range of sectors. The award was presented by Talib S Karim, President, Marketing Association of Pakistan, and S Masood Hashmi, MD Orient McCann Erickson, at their flagship event MARCON.

Hussain Dawood, group chairman, Dawood Hercules Corporation, Engro Corporation and HubCo, while accepting the award said: “It is a distinct honour to receive the MAP Life Time Achievement Award, and this year I am grateful to be its recipient.”

 DEFCLAREA Super League

KARACHI (PR): Defence and Clifton Association of Real Estate Agents recently held a grand launch of DEFCLAREA Super League 2016. The opening ceremony took place at the Moin Khan Academy the other day. Rizwan Ahmed, CEO of Property Legends, main sponsors for DSL 2016, shared his complete support towards the initiative.

 TDAP-CBI session

KARACHI (PR): In the light of “Memorandum of Cooperation” (MoC) signed between TDAP & CBI during the visit of Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan to Netherlands, the follow-up session was arranged at TDAP, office here on Friday.

Joost Staffhorst, Program Manager CBI, the Dutch Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries, along with Abdul Aziz Maniya, local CBI expert, had a detailed brain storming session with the senior management of TDAP including Dr M Yousuf Khan, director general and Manzoor Ahmed Shaikh, director general. The session was headed by Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary TDAP.

 The purpose of this session was to identify potential sectors where value addition is possible for export enhancement to EU.

The session with CBI program manager was held in a cordial atmosphere, resulting in a free and frank exchange of ideas which led to a better understanding of issues, constraints and some directions on how to overcome these, through better coordination and inputs mutually. The brainstorming session resulted in the identification of following sectors i.e. textiles, fresh fruits & vegetables, medical devices, light engineering, and especial focus was given to women entrepreneurs.
