Filtration plants donated

LAHORE - Health Department Punjab has distributed water filtration plants, donated by Association of US-based Pakistani Physicians, at Tehsil level for providing clean drinking water to the flood affectees. According to the distribution plan, water filtration plants have been installed at each tehsil Headquarters Hospitals of Tonsa Sharif, Jampur, Rojhan and DHQ Hospital Esa Khel, Mianwali. Whereas one water filtration plant has been installed at each Rural Health Centres (RHC) of Sinawan, Kot Addu, RHC Baseera, Muzaffargarh, RHC Khairpur, Ali Pur, RHC Jattoi, RHC Kot Chutta, DG Khan, RHC Muhammad Pur, Jampur and RHC Kot Mithan, Rojhan. The flood affectees of these areas were facing acute problems of clean drinking water. After installation of these plants, their difficulties could be minimised. Each plant has a capacity to clean 55 litres water in 20 minutes.
