‘Broad-based postal service plan afoot in AJK, GB’

MIRPUR (AJK) – The Pakistan Postal Services Department is acting upon a broad-based plan regarding its services in AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan, besides rest of the country.
This was disclosed by Raja Muhammad Munir, Post Master General, Federal Capital, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Giglit-Baltistan Circle. He was talking to the audience during his surprise visit for annual inspection to Mirpur General Post Office and other subordinate post office branches in various parts of this district.
Mirpur GPO Chief Post Master Muhammad Nawaz briefed the regional top bass of the department of the introduction of the recently-launched different type of about 36 swift post services to the clients in the district in the light of the swift services introduced across the nation, including AJK and GB, by the Pakistan Postal Services Department.
The services included Express Post, Saving Bank, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Swift transfer of money through Western Union and others. Raja Munir l advised his subordinates to serve the clients with zeal and encourage more trust and confidence among the masses over the services being extended by the Pakistan Post, in this era of competition.
He expressed satisfaction over the customers-friendly environment available at the General Post Office and several other branches across the district. It is worthwhile to mention here that acknowledging the importance of competition in any of the field, the Pakistan Postal Services Department, launched various projects to ensure the quick transfer and delivery of the articles booked by it, especially during last ten years under the spirit to provide most better and swift services to the masses as compared to its contemporaries both in the private and public sectors.
