Efforts on to ensure basic amenities: Iftikhar

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that the present government is committed to providing all basic amenities of life like potable water, gas, electricity and communication to people and for the purpose all available resources are being utilised.
This he stated while talking to a delegation of PK-22 Charsadda led by the Senior Vice President of ANP Charsadda Maqsood Khan atPeshawar on Wednesday. GM Suigas Haroon Khan was also present on this occasion. Members of the delegation apprised the minister of their problems particularly provision of gas to PK-22.
Mian Iftikhar maintained that they were the elected representatives of the people and come in the helm of affairs with their votes. Therefore, the interest of the people always remained their priority, he added. He said that the ANP Head Asfandyar Wali Khan has taken a serious notice of the problems of PK-22 and the today meeting was convened on his directives.
The Information Minister ordered the authorities of suigas to carry out early survey of villages deprived of suigas and to ensure provision of gas in it. He also ordered to overcome the low pressure problem of gas in the area.
The General Manager Suigas, on the order of the minister, directed the concerned quarters of suigas to complete the survey along with estimate and drawing within four days, while illegal connections should also be disconnected immediately to overcome the problem of low pressure of gas in the area.
