KARACHI - Kot Addu Power Company (KAPCO) has posted a lower profit after tax of Rs 6.071 billion for the year ending June 30, 2012 and announced a final cash dividend of Rs 3.15 per share.
According to financial results of the bank despatched to Karachi Stock Exchange here Wednesday, the profit before tax dropped to Rs 8.635 billion due to higher financial cost as against Rs 9.907 billion in 2011. The earning per share (EPS) of the company slipped to Rs 6.90 during the period under review compared to Rs 7.41 same period last year.
Meanwhile, ICI Pakistan Ltd has posted a lower profit after tax of Rs 462.231 million for the half ending June 30, 2012 over last year and declared an interim dividend at Rs 3.50 per share.
According to ICI here Wednesday, the earnings per share for the half year also dropped to Rs 5 compared to Rs 5.45 per share in the same period last year.
The profit before tax has also declined to Rs 710.804 million as against Rs 1.158 billion in the corresponding period last year.
