LAHORE – The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) claimed on Wednesday to have established 250 state-of-the-art bus stops on City routes.

A statement issued after a meeting held to review the LTC performance stated that the company made 27 bus routes operational in Lahore and successfully implemented the student green card scheme in collaboration with the education institutions.

“Students can travel for just Rs10 on any urban route of the City,” said LTC CEO Khawaja Haider Latif while presiding over the meeting. He added that wireless telecommunications sets would be provided to all LTC transport enforcement inspectors. The meeting was attended by LTC Communication and Marketing General Manager Amjad Hussain, Finance General Manager Mariam Khawar and other officers.

It was stated in the meeting that with the implementation of the student card scheme, the disputes between students and transporters would end. The meeting was informed that the LTC had established a driving training school to impart professional training to drivers of buses.
