ISLAMABAD - All the seeded players except Hameed-ul-Haq and Jibran-ul-Haq entered the quarter finals of the second Syed Tajamul Abbas Memorial National Tennis Championships here at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex on Wednesday by beating their respective rivals in straight sets.

M Mudassar made the major upset of the day by beating Hameed-ul-Haq 1-6 6-3 (retd) as Hameed was unable to continue the match and the Mudassar was declared winner. Captain Suleman made the second upset by beating 5th seed Jibran-ul-Haq.

M Abid, Sadan-ul-Haq, Usman Rafiq, Raja Shahid, Ahmed Ch. and Usman Ijaz entered the quarterfinals of men's singles. The quarterfinals will be played today at 9:30 am.

In the Boy's U-18 singles, M. Mudassar, Raja Shahid, Arham Attique and Kashan-ul-Haq moved in to the semi-finals by beating their respective opponents in straight sets.

M Mudassar will face Raja Shahid while Arham Attique will play against Kashan-ul-Haq in the semi finals today at 12:00pm.

In the Boy's U-14 singles, Huzaifa Abdur Rahman, Haris Irfan-ul-Haq, M Muzammil and Aman Attique moved into the semi-finals by beating their respective opponents, semi-finals of the event will be played today at 4:00pm. Ladies semi-final will also be played today at 5:00 pm.
