Matt Damon is apparently considering making his directorial debut with conspiracy thriller A Foreigner.
The Oscar-winning actor is said to be in “very early talks” with Paramount Pictures to take the reins on the real-life story, reported Variety.
Written by Argo’s Chris Terrio and based on David Grann’s 2011 article A Murder Foretold, A Foreigner focuses on a Guatemalan man who leaves behind a video after his murder to highlight the corruption that led to the deaths of others.
Matt has shown interest in directing and following in the footsteps of his good friend Ben Affleck before. He had planned to head behind the camera for Promised Land, but decided to pass the job to Gus Van Sant so he could spend more time with his wife and four daughters.
