LOS ANGELES: Alex Pettyfer has met film bosses about a role in Star Wars: Episode VII, according to reports. It’s rumoured that the Magic Mike actor discussed an “unknown” role which could be Luke Skywalker’s son in the seventh instalment, to be directed by JJ Abrams, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Latino Review.  Ryan Gosling has already denied that he has auditioned for the same part, which Zac Efron was also rumoured to be up for. Peter Pan star Rachel Hurd-Wood has reportedly read for the role of Leia and Han Solo’s daughter, the only actress to have tried out for the part so far.–BN
