ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved appointment of eight Additional Judges of Sindh High Court and three Additional Judges of Balochistan High Court.
The eight judges of Sindh High Court who have been appointed include Shaukat Ali Memon, D&S Judge Karachi (Central), Ashraf Jehan, D&S Judge Karachi (East),  Shahnawaz Tariq, D&S Judge Karachi (West), Abdul Malik Gaddi, Registrar Sindh High Court, Nazar Akber Advocate, Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, Advocate, Zafar Ahmed Rajput, Advocate, and Hassan Feroze, D&S Judge. The summary states that their nominations were forwarded to Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
The three appointed Additional Judges of Balochistan High Court include Shakil Ahmed currently posted as Advocate General of Balochistan, Muhammad Ejaz Swati, Advocate, and Muhammad Kamran Mulakhail Advocate.
The Summary states that their nominations were forwarded to Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
The Parliamentary Committee agreed to the nominations and forwarded them to the prime minister for advising the president to accord his approval to their appointment as additional judges of the High Court of Balochistan for a period of one year. Acting upon the advice of the Prime Minister, the President has approved their appointments.
