Taiwan's brave Lu back after brain tumour

TAIPEI - Taiwan's Lu Wei-chih will make his long-awaited return to top-level Asian golf next month after battling a brain tumour which he feared would end his career. Lu, 34, will be back in action on home soil at the Yeangder Tournament Players' Championship following successful surgery. "I will try to take things in my stride and not give myself so much pressure. I just want to do my best. It's not going to be easy but I'm prepared for it," said Lu. The father-of-two has been off the regional tour for more than a year. He was diagnosed with the non-cancerous growth after suffering dizzy spells, and went under the knife in August 2012. "I couldn't lead a normal lifestyle for a period of time. I couldn't sit up straight without feeling giddy, not to mention holding my golf clubs properly," he said. –AFP
