US envoy pays farewell call on Nisar


 ISLAMABAD - Ambassador Richard Hoagland of US Embassy made a farewell call to Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Thursday.
The newly appointed Deputy Head of the US Mission Tom Williams accompanied him. The minister appreciated the positive contributions made by Richard Hoagland during his tenure in promoting the relations between Pakistan and the US. He added that Richard Hoagland had been a good friend of Pakistan and had always played a role in bringing both the countries together.
The minister for interior said that Pakistan was playing its positive role in bringing stability in the region and hoped that US would appreciate Pakistan’s role in the region especially in post 2014 withdrawal of the US forces from Afghanistan.
Recalling his tenure in Pakistan, Richard Hoagland expressed his satisfaction on his stay in Pakistan and appreciated the positive efforts of Pakistan for bringing peace and stability in the region. He said that Pakistan was an important country of the region and US would continue to work closely with Pakistan to further strengthen its ties to a wider spectrum.
