Pakistan and Sri Lanka to enhance defense cooperation

Colombo- Pakistan and Sri Lanka have decided to explore new avenues to enhance cooperation in defense sector particularly between the air forces.
The agreement reached at talks between Pakistan Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt and Sri Lanka Air Force authorities. The air chief is currently on a three day visit to Sri Lanka and Myanmar at the invitation of their air forces.
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt visited Air Force Academy and an important operational Air Base in Sri Lanka. He visited various training, educational and flying training facilities of the academy.  He also visited various operational squadrons, maintenance and operational facilities of the base.
