ISLAMABAD- The seventh round of talks between government and PTI was held today in yet another bid to end the ongoing political impasse in Islamabad.

PTI’s team comprised of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Jehangir Tareen, Arif Alvi, Asad Umar, Shafqat Mahmood and Pervez Khattak. The government’s team was led by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Ahsan Iqbal and Abdul Qadir Baloch are also among the negotiation team. –

The two sides have so far failed to end their deadlock on Imran Khan’s demand regarding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.  Government says that it has accepted five of six PTI’s demands, regarding formation of a judicial commission and electoral reforms.  PTI argues that Nawaz Sharif must go for a month to ensure transparency of probe into vote fraud.
