Zika virus

Zika virus is effecting the people every second in many countries. According to US researchers, it will affect the population through brain function, particularly learning and memory. In 1947 it was identified in a monkey by monitoring network syslvative yellow fever and in humans it was discovered in 1952 in Tanzania and Uganda. Now it is effecting some continents such as Africa, Asia and America. People are suffering from some physical diseases due to the Zika virus such as mild fever, skin rashes, conjunctivitis, muscle and joint pain and headaches.

The relation between Zika virus and microcephaly first came to light last fall in Brazil, where more than 1,600 cases were reported of microcephaly which is considered to be related with Zika infection in mothers. According to a report of Notre Dame University, 93 million people have been effected by Zika virus across Latin America and the Carribean. We can secure ourselves from Zika virus by wearing insect repellent, keeping doors and windows shut, using additional mosquito nets for children outdoors and people with low immunity, stored water should be kept clean, flowerpots, tires and air conditions\fridge\freezers should be clean and dry. Zika virus does not have proper treatment. The people who are diagnosed with Zika virus should drink clean water\fluids and get ample rest. They may take pain killers and medicines for fever. The World Health Organization (WHO) should discover medicine or a vaccine for controlling the Zika virus.
