Catch 22?

Why are we in the eye of the storm...media focus and international pressures are creating a situation where we are being pushed and shoved, threatened and abused, being given the lollipop and than being brought to the verge of bankruptcy...is this all to do with who we are or where we are? Who we are matters, but at this stage the focus is because of where we are In the playoff...of the Great Game, the present round is concentrating on the Volatile Himalayas...where three nuclear states converge. China, besides moving rapidly through its financial growth is subtly isolating India by gaining influence around its border states. From Maoist assertion in Nepal and influence over seven Indian states further to the East which are joined by a narrow promontory between Bhutan and Bangladesh where over a dozen separatist armies are at play, with the most volatile being the Anuranchal Pradesh bordering Tibet, where China is laying claim to over 30,000 square miles of Indian - held territory...? On the other hand the freedom fighters in Kashmir and other member countries of South Asia and the region like Afghanistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan would never accede to India's hegemony in the region. With this backdrop the Trilaterals/Fed Reserve are getting paranoid and need urgently to consolidate its own physical presence and boost its latest ally India's standing in the region. Secondly, major oil reserves of the world are located in Iraq/Iran and some of the world's largest 'untapped' oil fields are in Balochistan. The Ferdous Mound and Zagreb field in The Persian Gulf, off the coast of Iran. West Qurna field in South eastern Iraq and Kashagan Field off the coast of Kazakhistan Now Pakistan happens to be located at the strategic crossroad in South Asia, bordering West Asia and Central Asia and within proximity of China's western frontier, thus to destabalise and influence this immensely important South Asian country - geopolitical hub - it has become the prime most objective for the US to use it as a base for military/intelligence operations. Keeping the above in mind we move on to the last 18 months...General Musharraf too late in the game realised that he had played Golf for too long and that the neocons had caught on to his delaying tactics...thus the need to remove him and the only personality who could possibly rally the nation across the board was "Benazir" and have her replaced with more compliant players. From day one the dictated strategy of the new players was to try to isolate the armed forces chief and bring the ISI under its control...it's spokesmen in Washington and UN were openly insinuating that we want to...but?....They made their moves and for a while the impression being taken by all and sundry was that the control was theirs.....These reps have done tremendous damage to the country by allowing the UN to pass a resolution against Pakistan which the present set-up went about immediately to implement as well...the question is that China was holding off passage of resolution since May...so all of a sudden who instructed them on not to object and let is pass..? The impression that all was in their control came through mainly due to the COAS's body language and soft demeanour in public and media. This approach of his brought on suggestions that we needed a few hawks amongst the parliamentarians and the top military brass...but in retrospect it is clear that when the time for clear decisions came, he was not indecisive but actually put his foot down on Mullen's suggestion that we "should let India carry out surgical air strikes and not react." He is a good listener but also a good thinker combined with the ability to take decisions when required. The Trilaterals have been brewing dissent in Balochistan and Pakhtunkhwa for sometime now...trying to distance us and stunt the progress of the ongoing projects with Chinese and Iranian assistance by killing and kidnapping Chinese and Iranian technicians and my take has always been that Talibanisation of Pakistan is the Trilaterals agenda...they were dying to get access to the area. They tried through the so-called democratically elected government but failed...so plan 2 was put in place? Like the 9/11, the Mumbai hit was orchestrated in an absolutely juvenile manner...but than who is there to question...? Even after it has been exposed that 9/11 was an inside job and that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq they are still where they wanted to be - in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Similarly, if the Pakistani agencies were to plan and execute a covert operation inside India, it would have been to try to blow up the Baghilar Dam or any such thing instead of killing a few innocent bystanders...? What does Pakistan gain from it...Nothing The only one to gain is the Trilateral agenda Create a war hype, use India to move its troops on the eastern borders, thus having to dilute our presence in Wana and the region...and what a coincidence that the number of troops we are pulling out coincides with the number of US troops leaving Iraq to move to Afghanistan...20-30,000? Now the catch 22 is that if the army does not beef up its eastern borders and India does an incursion the army looses face. By moving the troops out of the western region we have the Taliban distributing sweets and demanding the implementation of the Islamic system aka Afghanistan...? And ultimately an excuse for the American troops to be sent in to contain the situation...beautiful stroke play While this is unfolding we have the ex-chief's of the army being democratic by giving divergent views. One says that it is a misplaced perception that the Americans want to de nuclearise Pakistan, while the other feels not only that but also the dismemberment of the country is the agenda of The Saffron Nexus? With Afghan and allied troops on our western borders, India on our eastern borders and Iran on our Balochistan border with our rivers already under the command of India...Balochistan simmering and Pakhtunkhwa being overrun by Taliban we are being surrounded and we are being bullied. They are shoving and pushing and before we start getting slapped, are we going to keep on saying ib ki maar the way the PM kept saying every time there was a drone attack Whilst always praying that a mutually respectful diplomatic solution can be achieved. We should not get guiled into the lala's delaying tactics and allow him to rally his forces/resources. Today our airforce has the ability to counter India's, the only equilibrium they possess is the SU-30MKI. A few years from now they would have upgraded to a far more superior level with their over US$70 billion re vamping programme and purchase of 5th generation fighter/interceptors. Our air defence and missile technology is not only at par but superior to theirs in precision. Iran most probably will not probe and hopefully the Taliban will hold the Afghan forces at bay...we might have to give them a Nafaz-e Sharia government in Pakhtunkhwa but than a quid pro quo in such situations cannot be avoided. This is not the time to be thinking that the PPP government should be replaced by N or Q League...or so and so but to back this action we immediately need to form a nationalist government by taking the second tier leadership of the political parties to back a new un-tried and untested personality who in this situation will be acceptable to the nation at large. We don't do this and the forces that be will bleed, starve and dehydrate us nice and slow....Whether the Indian threat remains or goes, we will have to fight...and that fight is to get out of the influence of the Trilaterals and form a policy which will not only give us regional security and integration but also an opportunity to develop our tremendous resources.. Its unfortunate that Balochistan has been with us for over 60 years and we never developed its resources...and the world is eyeing it today...because it is a goose that will be laying the golden eggs and it is further unfortunate that we would never take to task the establishment and administrators who subjected the country to this foul play At this juncture of the nation's history, I pray for Unity, Faith and one Sahib-e-Ilm aur Hikmat.
