ISLAMABAD (PR) - Chairman of Jeevay Pakistan Jeevay Muqami Hakoomat (JPJM) Daniyal Aziz has said it is ironical that Pakistan, the fifth poorest country of South Asia, has a cabinet of 96 ministers and advisors that spent Rs 90.7 billion during last four years.

In a statement Thursday, he said that statistics about lavish spending of the ministers are stunning as compared to other countries of the region and other continents. He said China, with a huge population of 1.33 billion people has 14-ministers, India has 32, the US has 14 and the UK has only 12 ministers in cabinet.  He pointed out that travel and other expenses of the federal ministers are separate from the available statistics while expenditures of provincial cabinets are far more than the federal cabinet.
