SIALKOT - PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz has said that the PML-N’s massive public meeting on Dec 31 in Gujranwala will be a referendum against the PPP government and the corrupt rulers as the meeting will also unveil the faces of those who just gave poverty, corruption, unemployment, unending energy crisis, power and gas loadshedding to the masses.

He was addressing a big public meeting at Dharam Kot-Satrah, Daska tehsil on Thursday. Local MNAs, MPAs and hundreds of party workers participated in the gathering. He alleged that the corrupt rulers had ruined the national institutions due to which every loyal person was perturbed, adding, the rulers were busy in plundering the national exchequer by leaps and bounds.

Hamza Shahbaz said the PML-N political show in Gujranwala would write a new history of the rising of political awareness among the people. He said that only the PML-N had the amicable solution of all the internal and external crises being faced by the country. He said the party would make the dream of national development and prosperity a reality with the power of people’s votes. He claimed the ‘N’ league would clinch a huge public mandate in upcoming general elections for making the Pakistan as envisaged by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Hamza said that the politicians, who caused sever financial losses to the country were again trying to come into power by changing their political loyalties through joining a new-born political party (hinting as PTI). He termed the political scenario ‘as old wine in new bottle.” He urged the masses to hold the political accountability of those politicians who were flying from one to another political camp only because of their personal political games.

He said that the rulers have put the national solemnity, integrity and peace on stake, saying that the PML-N had made the country a nuclear power and now the party would save and defend the country by making the national defiance as hard to beat.

The PML-N has deep roots among the masses as the poor countrymen believe that its leadership had always struggled for their rights even in power or acting as opposition, he added. He said that “We are striving for the survival of democracy and struggled for rights of people as we have defended democracy and made the country stronger.”

He also pledged to lift the poor and destitute from generational poverty trap.  He said PML-N believed in democracy had rendered numerous sacrifices for the cause of democracy and would continue to strive for further strengthening of democratic institutions in the country.

The PML-N leader said that the political actors and orphans must realise that Pakistan is a country of 170 million people and not an organisation of an international bank. He was flayed the people who were levelling allegations that the PML-N was supporting feudalism in the country.

Earlier, Hamza Shehbaz was given a warm welcome by the local MNAs, MPAs and party workers upon his arrival at the venue. They brought him to the venue in a convoy, as thousands of people were standing along the both sides of the roads showing rose petals on the PML-N leader.
