ISLAMABAD - Attorney General for Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq said on Thursday that President Asif Ali Zardari will not file a separate reply in memo case in the Supreme Court.

The attorney general while talking to mediapersons at Supreme Court premises after the hearing of the memorandum scandal said that federation’s reply should be considered as a reply from the president well. The federation in its reply submitted earlier had stated that the president and prime minister have no link with the memo issue. The court in its order had asked all the respondents, including the president, to file their replies and during Wednesday’s hearing of the case, it once again mentioned that President Zardari has still not complied with the court directions.

The attorney general told the journalists that he would inform the court about the Parliamentary Committee on National Security’s mandate today (Friday). He said according to the constitution, the prime minister is the supreme commander of the armed forces.
