BAHAWALPUR - The local nurses have threatened to boycott the hospital duties if their demands will not be accepted today and will go on strike for indefinite period.

The nurses took this decision after Chief Minister Shabaz Sharif allegedly did not respond to their protest at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur when he was inaugurating the Skills Fair here Thursday. The Nurses claimed that they were given Dec 20 deadline for expectance of their demands but still nobody had taken any interest to resolve their problems and even they were disallowed to meet the CM. Meanwhile, the local PML-N workers, led by PML-N Lawyers Forum district General Secretary Syed Tanveer Haider Pasha, also protested against the indifferent attitude of Bahawalpur Commissioner M Mushtaq Ahmed and DCO Dr Naeem and demanded of the CM to allocate the powers of both the officials to MNA and MPA as the aforesaid officials had failed to deliver to the masses so far.
