KARACHI - Civil Aviation Authority Director General Air Marshal (r) Khalid Chaudhry vowed to train supporting staffers in all 73 trades related to the aviation and also promise for the aviation residential societies.

Addressing an oath-taking ceremony of CAA, CBA union here at aviation club here on Saturday, he said that workers and staffers of aviation would get all kind of facilities.

He also said that CAA would get the assistance from Baharia Town to construct the residential schemes for the employees of CAA. He also greeted Employees Unity Union elected as the CBA of CAA. He also took oaths of 65 officers of CBA reaching Karachi from 41 different airports of the country.

Farhan Ahmed, central information secretary of CBA, while talking to The Nation told that the CBA’s demands include the restoration of son quota which had been banned since long. He said that delayed promotions especially between the grade of 2 to 6 must be promoted on immediate basis.

KU extends last date for open merit admissions till Jan 3: Karachi University has extended up last date for obtaining the forms for open merit admissions in its evening programme to Jan 3, 2013.

According to KU announcement here on Saturday, the interested students can obtain and submit the forms from United Bank Limited (UBL) at KU Silver Jubilee gate from 0930 to 1700 hours till coming Thursday.

Whereas, these forms can also be obtained and submitted from 1700 to 1900 hours from UBL, University Campus branch.
