Slow pace of uplift work annoys G-14 allotees

ISLAMABAD  – Frustrated allotees have complained that the development work in Sector G-14 is going on at very slow pace due to slackness of Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) and the district administration, and lack of interest of the commission to investigate fake houses in the sector despite passage of eight years.
Allotees have expressed serious concerns over delay of the development project by mafia of Housing Department, saying that since eight years this mafia was still using delaying tactics to withhold the work on the project.
Some of the allotees while talking to INP complained that land mafia people had constructed rooms and small structures in the sector to get compensation money and started blackmailing. Islamabad High Court (IHC) constituted a commission of Retired District and Sessions Judge Choudhry Mazhar Minhas to investigate the issue and fix November 30 deadline to submit the report. The commission has still not completed the report.
The housing foundation paid the mobilization advance to the construction company but the deputy commissioner Islamabad has not constituted police post or deployed Rangers in the sector to stop the fake affectees from hindering the construction work. Moreover, even survey of the houses could not be started yet.
The allotees demanded of the federal minister for housing and works to take notice of the situation and issue orders to accelerate the development work in Sector G-14.
