SIALKOT/NAROWAL - Two girl students were killed and 12 others sustained multiple injuries when a bus of a private college overturned after dashing against road divider due to speeding here on Kh Muhammad Safdar Road in cantt area early Saturday morning. While two youth were killed in road mishap in Narowal.

Reportedly, girl students of a local private college ‘Nisa College Sialkot’ were coming to the college on boarded a bus of the college stated to be old and overloaded with the students. Meanwhile, the bus rammed into a road divider due to speeding and low visibility.

Resultantly, windscreen of the bus broken and several students fell down on the road from the bus two of whom were crushed under the wheels of the bus. The deceased students were identified as Muqaddas, daughter of Aman Ullah and Noureen, daughter of Boota. While 12 other students including Iqra, Ayesha Anwar, Sidra Abdul Rehman, Mariyam Irshad, Farah Rustam, Javeriya, Sanam Shehzadi, Ayesha, Rida and Arooj were injured seriously. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial DHQ Hospital where the condition of four the injured is stated to be critical.

Following the incident, DCO SZahid Saleem Gondal rushed to the Trauma Centre and inquired after the health of the injured students. He also expressed grief over the sad demise of the two students.

Meanwhile, the DCO formulated a two-member special team comprising of AC Mazhar Iqbal and TRA Secretary Ali Arshad Tahir to probe the incident and present a report in 24 hours. In NAROWAL, two persons were killed when a speeding van hit their bike on Zafarwal Road near Tapiala Morr here on Saturday.

Reportedly, a youth Ahtesham, a resident of Mohallah Islampura Narowal and his cousin Umair Zaheer were on the way to Zafarwal when a speeding a van hit the bike they were riding from the rear near Tapiala Morr. Resultantly, both the youth got serious injuries and were shifted to DHQ Hospital by Rescue 1122 but they could not survive and breathed their last.It is to be noted that Ahtesham was a student of Intermediate first year.
