Rawalpindi - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) organised Force Commanders Conference here at ANF Headquarters on Monday.

Director General ANF Major General Khawar Hanif chaired the conference while commanders of all regional directorates and senior staff officers attended the meeting, informed ANF spokesperson.

ANF performance for the year 2014 was analysed and futuristic targets were also set forth in the conference. The aspects of enforcement, intelligence, assets investigation, prosecution and other financial-cum-administrative matters were also deliberated upon.

Alongside this activity, ANF field operations continued as usual and they carried out seven operations against the drug mafias across the country and recovered huge quantity of drugs; besides arresting six accused involved in drug trafficking.

The value of the recovered narcotics was around Rs 7.343 billion in international market, he said and added that the recovered drugs included 7.18 tons of hashish, 24.22-kg heroin and 1.02-kg opium. During the operations, ANF also arrested 6 persons involved in drug trafficking and seized 5 vehicles, whereas cases were also lodged with ANF police stations against all the detainees, he added.
