LAHORE: Death row convict detained in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Central Jail, passes away due to brain hemorrhage today.

Umer Rasheed the convict was shifted to Lahore's Jinnah Hospital for checkup after his health got worse. He expired in the hospital today.

The doctors said, Rasheed suffered a "huge shock/depression" resulting in brain hemorrhage . The body was taken into police custody. Then it was shifted to mortuary for a post-mortem examination. After the post-mortem is completed, the body would be handed over to Rasheed's family.

He was sentenced to death for committing a murder in Lahore's Factory area. Under Section 302, a First Information Report (FIR) had been registered against him at Factory Area police station.
