The police solved the mystery of the murder of a woman and arrested her lover who strangulated her to death.

The Khudian Police lodged an FIR on the complaint of Muhammad Ibrahim, against one Zameer Haider that he killed the complainant’s daughter-in-law Perveen Bibi and threw her body in the fields at Khudian Town, over unknown reason on Dec 21. The police arrested Haider on murder charges.

However, on suspicion the police arrested one Allah Wasya, a resident of the same village who, during interrogation, confessed to have strangled Perveen Bibi after an exchange of arguments over some issue. He told the police that they loved each other and when she came to see her with a stranger on motorcycle they ran into arguments. Later, Wasaya strangled Perveen and threw her body.

The police said that both the accused and deceased had developed illicit relations although both were married.

Meanwhile, the recovery of the dead body of a missing person sparked protest in Mustafabad Town here on Monday. The protesters blocked main Ferozpur Road and chanted slogans against police.

Some two weeks back, Iqbal Masih went with a friend somewhere and did not return. On Sunday, The Mustafabad Police recovered a body from the local canal. The body was later identified as Iqbal Masih, a resident of village Sarhali Kalan.

The family of the deceased accompanied the villagers placed the dead body on the road and staged a protest, throwing traffic out of gear. The protesters demanded arrest of the killers.

On the assurance of DSP City circle Hassan Farooq, the protestors dispersed peacefully.

The police have registered a case against unidentified accused.

Six fall victims to mishaps

Six persons were killed in different incidents of violence and mishaps over the past 24 hours,

As per details, two persons including a woman were killed while another was injured seriously in two fatal road accidents here on Monday.

On Sialkot-Head Marala Road near Chhawaali village , an overloaded tractor trolley crushed to death a labourer Muhammad Arshad , father of three minor daughters by badly hitting his motorcycle there, killing him on the spot.

On Sialkot-Zafarwal-Darmaan Road, a woman Nasreen Bibi was killed while her husband Iqbal was injured seriously, when a speeding passenger van hit the motorcycle they were travelling on, killing the woman on the spot.

Police have registered separate cases against the fleeing accused drivers, with no arrest, in this regard.

In Daska an anguished youth Rana Ehtesham shot dead his real father Muhammad Ilyas in his home over a domestic dispute in Daska city’s congested Inam Colony locality here.

The Daska City police have registered a case, with no arrest, in this regard.

In Gujranwala, three persons died in different incidents here on Monday. As per details, Naqash, a resident of Alam Chowk was crushed to death by a speeding truck when he was crossing road.

In Rahwali a tractor-trolley collided with a motorcycle, killing the motorcyclist on the spot whose identity could not be ascertained yet. In Aroop area, the dead body of a 30-year-old woman was found from fields. According to the Aroop Police, someone had shot her dead and threw the dead body in the fields. The Aroop Police have registered the case.
