LAHORE – Rizwan Ahmed’s brilliant knock of 43 helped Pak Steel enter the Quaid-e-Azam Twenty20 Gold Cup Cricket Tournament semi-finals after thrashing Nine Sports by eight wickets in the quarter-final here at the Model Town Greens Ground on Monday. In the one-sided encounter, Nine Sports elected to bat first and managed to score to 108 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Abdullah batted well and scored 40 runs and Faisal added 16. Asim Iqbal, Majid Khan and Waheed Ahmed claimed two wickets each for the winners conceding 15, 18 and 24 runs respectively. In reply, Pak Steel achieved the target for the loss of two wickets in 15 overs. Rizwan Ahmad was top scorer with 43 runs while Imran Haider also batted well and made significant 32 runs.
