LEAs obtain proof of 330 'terrorists' treated at Ziauddin Hospital

KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies have confiscated record of 330 terrorists, who had received medical services at Ziauddin Hospital on which charges the under arrest Sindh Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Asim Hussain is facing court trial. Dr Asim Hussain owns one of modern medical facility chain in Pakistan, Ziauddin Hospital with many branches in the prot city of Karachi.

He is known for his close relations with former President Asif Ali Zardari, who had showed severe reaction on his arrest by the paramilitary Rangers and the Sindh government from Pakistan People’s Party and the paramilitary Rangers had come face to face on powers to take action against individuals allegedly involved ion corruption.

Thus the Sindh government had trimmed powers of the Rangers by restricting them not to go for the hunt of individuals on charges of corruption without prior permission from the Sindh Chief Minister.

However, the federal government dismissed Sindh government’s legal move that was in accordance to the article 147 of the constitution of Pakistan and gave a notification under the articles 148 and 149 of the constitution and thus restored all powers of the Rangers.

The LEAs have after confiscating the record of 330 terrorists treated at Ziauddin Hospital have sealed it, which they would produce in the court of law as solid proof against Dr Asim Hussain.
