PFA seals six food outlets; fines others

MULTAN:- The Punjab Food Authority sealed six food outlets, disposed off substandard food, sweets and gutka in different cities of South Punjab. PFA spokesman said that officials of the authority conducted operations against substandard food sellers in Multan, Vehari, Khanewal and Bahawalnagar.  During raids, the PFA sealed six food outlets, disposed off thousands of packets of gutka, 145 substandard sweets and 60kg cooked food.–INP

  The officials also imposed a fine of Rs75,000 on food outlets for poor cleanliness and substandard food besides issuing warning to several others.
