ISLAMABAD " Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan said on Thursday that the inter-ministerial committee has finalized the bill to abolish National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and it would be presented in the Parliament soon. Talking to media at the Parliament House, Dr Babar said that NAB had been used as a tool against the political opponents during the previous regime. "The accountability of the employees will be carried out by their relevant departments or institutions," he said. He further said that unreasonable involvement of NAB department in the affairs of investment and banking system had caused irreparable loss the investment and economic development process. "The elimination of NAB department is a historical decision and credit goes to PPP that no single case was registered in the last ten months against any political rival", he said.
