Karachi - IGP Sindh Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak, Thursday chaired a high level meeting at his office and emphasized to reactivate finger print branch on modern lines. IGP observed finger print branch is vital for the police department to curb crime. "Proper functioning of this branch will enable police to reach the absconders, anti-social elements and terrorists without difficulty", he added. AIG Criminology Branch, on the occasion, briefed the meeting and assured that finger print branch would soon resume functioning on modern lines. Khattak directed the DIG Headquarters and AIG Finance to ensure provision of required equipments to the department within 10 days to reactive its functioning. He also directed the relevant departments to give priority to cater the needs of all other centers of police. Additional IG Crime Sindh, DIG Headquarters, DIG Crime, AIG Criminology and AIG Finance attended the meeting.
