Pakistan eager to boost ties with Jordan, says Zardari

ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that Pakistan was looking forward to further boosting bilateral relations with Jordan and other Middle East countries. Talking to Ambassador of Jordan to Pakistan Dr Saleh Ahmad Mohammad Al-Jawaarneh, who called on him on Thursday, President Asif Ali Zardari said Pakistan enjoys good brotherly relations with Middle East countries. The Jordanian Ambassador presented invitation to the President from King Abdullah bin Al-Hussain for participation in the World Economic Forum meeting in May this year. The Ambassador said that WEF meeting on the Middle East would be held in Jordan from May 15-17 this year. The moot offers a fresh look at new economic opportunities and on the evolving political challenges in the region, he said. The Ambassador also conveyed good wishes of the King of Jordan to the President, the government and the people of Pakistan. The President said that he looks forward to meeting the King during his visit to Jordan. Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, Minister for Textile Industry and senior officials of Foreign Affairs were also present in the meeting.
