LAHORE Federal Minister for Health Makhdoom Shahabuddin on Saturday met with Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Secretary Health, Director General Health and President PMDC were also present during the meeting. Talking on this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said the Punjab government was taking solid steps for providing best possible medical facilities to the people. While mentioning mobile health units in far-flung and backward areas of the province, the chief minister said special attention had also been paid to the promotion of medical education. Four new medical colleges are being set up for this purpose, and the buildings for these colleges will be completed this year. Secretary Health gave a detailed briefing with regard to establishment of new medical colleges and their registration in the province.
