Seven persons including a man and his two minor daughters were killed in two road accidents occurred in different areas on Friday.

In Sahiwal, four persons including a man and his two minor daughters were killed and 10 others got injuries in collision between two buses collided here near New Khan Petrol Pump, Kasuwal on GT Road Friday morning.

According to rescue sources, a Multan-bound passenger bus (MNL-3255) was on the way from Lahore. Suddenly, the bus took a U-Turn towards Kasuwal filling station. In the meanwhile, another passenger bus en route to Muzzaffargarh rammed into the bus. As a result, Shaukat Ali, resident of Kacha Koh, Khanewal, his two minor daughters and an unidentified person died on the spot. Ten other passengers including deceased Shaukat Ali’s wife sustained multiple injuries and were admitted to District Headquarters Hospital Sahiwal. The Rescue 1122 and police personnel rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured and dead bodies.

According to the police, drivers of both the buses fled the scene and the police have started investigation into the incident.

In Sheikhupura, three persons including an Inspector of Motorway Police were killed in a road accident on Motorway near Kot Pindi Daas on Friday.

According to the police, Inspector Aftab Shah was coming to Sheikhupura in a private passenger van. As the vehicle reached near Kot Pindi Daas, a speeding Mazda truck collided with the van and overturned while overtaking. As a result, the inspector, driver Muzaffar Ali and helper Adeel died on the spot. The truck fled the scene. The Factory Area Police have started investigation.
