Avenfield supplementary reference: NAB court rejects objections of Nawaz's lawyer

The Accountability Court has rejected the objections of Nawaz Sharif's lawyer on supplementary references of Avenfield filed by NAB. 

Earlier, As the hearing of corruption references against Sharif family resumed, the lawyer of Nawaz Sharif raised objections on supplementary references on Avenfield case filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). 

Khawaja Haris argued that there is nothing new in these references. "Have NAB prosecutor read these references himself," said Haris. 

Haris further argued that NAB was bound to file new references within six weeks of the case but it did not. "These references are not according to Supreme Court's order," he said. 

The counselor urged the court not to accpet these references. 

After hearing the arguments, the accountability court reserved the verdict and began hearing on Al Azizia reference. 

Earlier, ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar reached the court today.
