KARACHI - Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) council on Monday demanded the provincial government to arrest former Malir SSP Rao Anwar and his team for killing a youth in fake encounter.
The council also demanded public execution of the criminals who killed little girls including Zainab of Kasur. The members said that the condemnable rape and murder of exposes once again how vulnerable our children are in our society.
The council met on Monday noon under the chairmanship of Mayor Wasim Akhtar and gave approval of another 32 resolutions pertaining to various matters regarding Karachi Zoo, Safari Park, Landhi and Korangi Zoo, Citizens Complaints Information System and Women Sports Complex.
The mayor said: “We want to free the whole country from weapons and terrorism. Check the borders of Karachi from where these weapons are brought here”. He said that he himself witnessed of the brutal ways of SSP Rao Anwar who registered 20 FIRs in a single day against him.
He asked the judiciary to take action against such people who had made mockery of the law and if anyone was arrested then he should be presented in the courts.
Meanwhile, following the directive of the mayor, the Finance Department of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has directed the departmental heads to submit the budget proposals for fiscal year 2018-19 on the prescribed forms by February 12, 2018 in the Finance Department.
The Finance Department has directed that the proposals should be comprised proposals for development and non development budget and the establishment expenditures and revenue.
