ISLAMABAD - The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Friday witnessed bullish trend, gaining 219.49 points, with positive change of 0.48 percent, closing at 46,385.54 points against 46,166.05 points on the last working day.
A total of 840,296,168 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 844,002,643 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs32.597 billion against Rs26.228 billion previous day. As many as 425 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 229 of them recorded gain and 182 sustained losses whereas the share price of 14 companies remained unchanged. The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd with a volume of 141,575,000 shares and price per share of Rs4.09, Silk Bank Ltd with a volume of 80,667,500 and price per share of Rs1.54 and Pak Refinery with a volume of 62,900,000 and price per share of Rs25.04.
Sapphire Tex witnessed maximum increase of Rs74.49 per share, closing at Rs1091.99 while Pak Tobacco shares increased by Rs69.99 per share closing at Rs1669.99.
Rafhan Maize recorded maximum decrease of Rs700 per share, closing at Rs9800 whereas Unilever Foods was runner up with the increase of Rs200 per share, closing at Rs143000.
