ISLAMABAD - Provincial Minister for Sports Aqil Shah, who is the Chef-de-Mission of the Pakistan's contingent bound to leave for Beijing on July 31 to participate in the 29th Olympic Games 2008, said Tuesday that Pakistan would take part in the four disciplines of the Beijing Olympics. Talking to The Nation, Aqil Shah further said that discipline on the field and off the field would be their priority. "The whole nation is expecting remarkable performance from hockey team during the Olympic event. We got wild card entries in other three games including shooting, swimming and athletics and we cannot expect any thing from them, however, participating in the four events is the great hounour for Pakistan," he said. Aqil also headed a meeting of the contingent officials to the departure programme of the players. The head of the teams also participated in the meeting and they were issued kit bags, tickets and traveling uniform. The 34-member of the contingent comprising hockey, athletics, swimming, shooting players and officials will leave Islamabad for Beijing on July 31. However, one member of the contingent Akhtar Nawaz Genjeera has already gone to Beijing.
