LAHORE - Navy has announced formidable squad for the currently-progressed Pakistan Premier Soccer League. The marathon 182-match event will decide 54th National Champion of Pakistan who will earn berth in 5th AFC President's Cup 2009. The team will reach Karachi on Wednesday (30 July), and will face high-flying Karachi Port Trust at CDGK Stadium, Karachi on August 2 in their first of 26 quota of matches. According to Pakistan Naval Physical Training & Sports Centre (NPT & SC), Karachi's Officer Incharge Lt. Cdr. Shabbir Ahmed, also President of Navy soccer team, Islamabad-based team will complete away games at Karachi, Chaman, Lahore and Faisalabad before Ramzan Ul Mubarak and will host all their 13 games plus away games against Rawalpindi and Islamabad outfit after Eid ul Fitr. Asif Mehmood will be among the 25-player squad. Other players will be Muhammad Ramzan (captain), Jabbar Hussain (vice captain), Nasir Hussain, Muhammad Shafiq Sr, Muhammad Shafiq Jr, Atifur Rehman, Abdul Haq, Shahid Munir, Sajjad Ahmed, Muhammad Shahzad SrNomi Martin, Muhammad Basharat, Ishaq Ahmed, Imtiaz Ahmed, Farhan Qadir, Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Wasim Khan, Muhammad Shahzad Jr, Imran Saddique, Asghar Baloch, Naseer Hussain, Akhalaq, Muhammad, Farrukh Rasool.
