Pakistan requires 16,000 mega watt electricity generation to overcome the ongoing power crisis, for which 30 billion dollar will be required for relevant projects till year 2015, Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said. He was addressing a joint press conference with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah after attending the first day of Energy Roundtable Conference on Thar Coal Project organized in collaboration with World Bank in Washington. He said selection of power companies would be done through international competitive bidding in a transparent manner, and the investors would undergo a one-go and hassle free process of registration.
