ISLAMABAD (NNI) - A graduation ceremony was held at Transport Conversion School (TCS), Pakistan Air Force Base, Chaklala. Air Marshal Shahid Lateef, Vice Chief of the Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force was the chief guest on the occasion. No 18th Captains Course, 1st Multi Engine Course, No 18 Flight Engineering Course and No 4 CN-235 Loadmaster Course graduated on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said, "Airpower was born in war and nurtured in peace. During war, air transport component of air power has an extremely critical role to play. The airplane, with its capabilities of transporting goods, troops or ammunition, has made a three dimensional landscape of air surrounding the globe, so much so that victory through air power might actually be the victory through air transport." He further said, "It is an established fact that in the rapidly changing scenario of today's warfare, strategic and tactical transport operations have become key factors in mounting suitable and timely response. Especially, for air forces with restricted assets and large frontiers to secure, the tactical transport operations amount to a force multiplier." Later, the chief guest awarded certificates and trophies to graduating aircrew.  Trophy for Best Performance in No 18th Captains Course was awarded to Flight Lieutenant Jahanzeb Iqbal whereas Flight Lieutenant Adnan Murtaza received Trophy for Best Performance in 1st Multi Engine Course. The Transport Conversion School (TCS) of PAF is a premier institute for the training of aircrew for all types of transport aircraft of Pakistan Air Force. In addition, the school also imparts training to the transport crews of sister services and friendly countries. Earlier, on his arrival the Chief Guest was received by Air Commodore Khalil Ahmad, Base Commander PAF Base Chaklala.
