LAHORE - Terming the military operation and discriminatory attitude towards the Baloch disastrous for the country, Jamhoori Watan Party leader Shah Zain Bugti has said the rulers have learnt nothing from the past. He was addressing a joint press conference with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan at the latters residence on Wednesday. Shah Zain Bugti, grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti, said the military operation started by Pervaiz Musharaf was still going on in the province. He said it seemed the rulers had learnt nothing from Bangladeshs debacle. He said Dera Bugti was still a no-go-area for the Bugtis. I have decided to visit the area and wants the political leaders and media to go with me to let the people and the government know the real picture, he said, adding he would not contact the leadership of PML-Q. He said Nawaz Sharif had told him that he would take any decision on the issue after consulting the party. He said Jamaat-e-Islami, PTI and various other political parties had accepted his invitation. He said he wanted to show the world what was going on in Balochistan and what were the real facts. He would get an FIR registered against Musharraf and would bring the matter to the courts, he said, and expressed hope that Musharaf would face the consequences of his wrongdoings. Demanding fresh elections in Balochistan, Imran Khan said the provincial assembly was merely a rubber stamp. He said the new elections should be free and fair without the involvement of agencies. Supporting Shah Zain Bugti, he said he would accompany the Baloch leader to Dera Bugti. He said the military operation was not a solution to the Balochistan issue and demanded giving due rights to the Baloch.
