On a day of dark, overcast sky, we all sat through the news bulletins on air crash all day long with hearts sinking and minds numb with grief. In silent, anguished prayers, irrespective of creed or religion, we wished for safety of the innocents on board but our wishes turned to ashes, our prayers to wisps of smokealong with flesh and bones of those who lay under charring rubble of the unfortunate plane. Death has no mercy, nor admits defiance. All those that live must taste death one day. -DR ABID RAUF ORAKZAI, Islamabad, July 29.
