LAHORE – APML Punjab leaders claimed on Sunday that the party founded by General (r) Pervez Musharraf had deep roots in all the 36 districts of the province and the mainstream political parties would soon be seeking its assistance in the upcoming general elections.

APML Punjab Chief Organiser Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf and Information Secretary Saima Ali Dada made these claims while talking to the media on Sunday. Without giving a date for Pervez Musharraf’s return, the APML leaders once again maintained that he would be among his people soon.

Ashraf claimed that former APML Punjab General Secretary Fawad Chaudhary had left the party since Musharraf was not ready to nominate him as the party’s president in Punjab.
